Star Events

Challenge: To build and maintain awareness for more than two dozen street festivals Star Events puts on each year, and to make them stand out from the more than 400 that occur in the city of Chicago during the busy summer months.

Approach: We conducted comprehensive studies of each individual festival to find relevant and engaging hooks that could be brought to the attention of the media, effectively allowing each event to shine through the clutter of other competing attractions.

Outcome: Ranging from the city’s most acclaimed food festival (Taste of Randolph Street) to one of Chicago’s oldest street celebrations (Andersonville Midsommarfest), Motion PR has found success in securing regular coverage for each individual event, averaging more than 20 placements per festival. Some of the top-tier outlets that Motion PR regularly turns to in order to share stories on these festivities include Zagat, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago RedEye, WGN-TV, WCIU-TV, and more.
