Bio

Wheatley is a Senior Vice President at Motion PR and is a key member of the senior leadership team. With 20 years of industry experience, Wheatley brings a high level of expertise, experience and knowledge to the Motion PR team. She oversees several client accounts as well as spearheads strategic planning for the agency.

Wheatley has worked in Chicago and New York City for some of the largest global PR firms, including Ruder Finn and Weber Shandwick, on both corporate and consumer accounts. Before joining Motion PR, Wheatley was a senior leader at Krispr Communications (a Daniel J. Edelman Company), where she was responsible for earned media strategy, content and execution for the Kellogg Company’s Special K brand, as well as for Kellogg’s snacks and frozen brands. As Vice President at Weber Shandwick, Wheatley oversaw communications strategic planning and execution in traditional and digital channels for clients including Nestlé USA, Staples, Kraft Foods and Georgia-Pacific.

Wheatley has wide-ranging experience successfully launching products and building brands. During her tenure at Ruder Finn in New York, Wheatley managed brand marketing, corporate communications and issues management programs for clients including VF Corporation, The North Face, Weight Watchers International and GlaxoSmithKline.

Wheatley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Media and Journalism at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find Wheatley walking her rescue shepherd mix, honing her photography skills and exploring farmer’s markets.

Favorite app? Dark Sky. I’m floored at how it can tell me when it will start raining, down to the minute.

What’s one thing that will always make you laugh? My brother. We live in different time zones, but we talk every Friday after work, and it’s one of the highlights of my week.

Favorite media outlet or blog: My favorite news program is CBS’ Sunday Morning. I watch it religiously every Sunday morning. Excellent storytelling!

If you had three wishes, what would they be? Live forever, go back to college and be the one who invented bottled water.
