Olive Oil from Spain is presenting a unique week of dining in Chicago focused on the unique uses of olive oil. This week, both Vermilion and Mercat a la Planxa will offer unique dishes made using an olive oil from Spain. These dishes will highlight the unique flavors as well as show diners how olive oil can be used as a primary ingredient in cooking.
Additionally, on Wednesday, November 7, at 7:00 p.m., Vermilion will be hosting a special three-course olive oil dinner infused with distinct, vibrant Spanish flavors. Also, Alfonso J. Fernandez, Olive Oil from Spain’s resident olive oil expert will share how cooking with different olive oil varietals, such as Hojiblanca or Arbequina, can liven any dish, even desserts. He will also be on-hand to share cooking tips, techniques, and insights with guests.
