Olive Oil from Spain is set to host: Explore Spain, Rich in Flavor and Heritage on Friday, October 7 from 6-8 p.m. at Kendall College of Culinary Arts in Chicago. This is a culinary event that will showcase the culturally rich flavors of Spain. Chicagoans, this is your opportunity to learn how to enrich your meals—and impress your friends.

World-renowned olive oil expert, Alfonso J. Fernandez, will lead attendees in a tasting featuring four Spanish olive varieties: arbequina, hojiblanca, cornicabra and picual. Mmmm, “olive” you, olive oil! Chefs from Kendall College will also create unique tapas that compliment the distinct taste of each olive oil—yum!

All proceeds from the event will benefit national non-profit organization Common Threads. The event will include a presentation, olive oil tasting, tapas and wine. Good news, everyone—this event is open to the public! There is limited seating, so RSVP for the event by visiting www.commonthreads.org. Tickets are $40 each.
