Motion PR, an established public relations and digital agency in Chicago, said today it is merging with AgencyMSI, a 57-year-old Chicago-based integrated marketing and communications agency.
Effective today, the merged entities will be known as Motion.
Kimberly Eberl, former CEO and founder of Motion PR, will helm the new entity as owner and CEO.
Dave Weiner, founder and CEO of AgencyMSI, plans to retire after nearly six decades in the Chicago advertising industry.
The merger will marry AgencyMSI’s expertise in retail, branding, planning and digital capabilities with Mortion PR’s public relations and digital practices. Motion will serve a mix of business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients.
The combined companies will have a staff of 60, including strategists, designers, writers and technicians.
Eberl said of the merger: “By aligning two agencies that share an entrepreneurial spirit, creative curiosity and a deep commitment to digging deeper to solve marketing challenges, we are poised to offer that much more to our current client partners and new partners.”
The new Motion will be a certified woman-owned business. The client roster includes Serta, the Home Depot, Simon Property Group, Feld Entertainment, Kenmore, DieHard, Tractor Supply and Becker Professional Services.
