The PR Council (PRC), the public relations industry’s agency trade association, announced yesterday the election of its new officers and directors, going into effect Dec. 1, 2017. Kimberly Eberl, founder and CEO of Motion PR, has been elected to the board among nine newly-elected PR agency CEOs/Principals, each of whom will serve a three-year term.
Chairman of the board Matthew J. Harrington says, “I’m delighted to convene such a strong board at a critical moment in time for our profession. In the year ahead, we will focus on a number of issues that are vital to the future of our industry and the impact it makes on our clients including advancing the fight against fake news in collaboration with the News Literacy Project, doubling down on ethical standards and accountability, conducting our first Hackathon to tackle ROI and value, and starting a new shadow board to ensure tomorrow’s leaders have a voice in shaping our craft today.”
Kimberly has been achieving great successes this year, even before the PR Council election. Over the past six months, Kim was one of 18 Chicagoans to graduate from the Goldman Sach’s 10,000 Small Business Program and she was also invited to join The Global Ambassadors Program in Chicago, a program that provides mentoring and skills-building to women entrepreneurs from Chicago and around the world. To top off the busy year, she was named the honorary chair for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s annual Women on the Move Luncheon, a premier event in Chicago happening in May of 2018.
